Abstract

Hospital acquired infection (HAI), which is related to multi-drug resistant microorganisms, has become an important cause of mortality and morbidity in hospitals. At the same time, indirect transmission through contaminated surface is a major transmission route. With the hope to develope a safe and efficient system for disinfection, high-intensity Narrow-wavelength light, which leads to generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in bacteria, will be adopted. Since ROS targets on multiple sites of bacteria, it can effectively inactivate multi-drug resistant microorganisms. The aim of this project is to develope a prototype for disinfection of a wide variety of microrgamism,
